Deputy Inspector General of Police, Frank Mba, has been formally installed as Patron of the Dignified Articulate Men’s Club, Lagos, at a colourful end-of-year dinner held in the state.
The well-attended ceremony attracted the club’s leadership and distinguished members, who turned out in elegant black suits to welcome the new patron. DIG Mba, dressed in a crisp white agbada, was warmly received by the Club President, Ambassador Francis Chukwu, amid excitement and fanfare that set the tone for the evening’s celebrations.
During the event, Mba was officially inducted as patron of the club and presented with a copy of its constitution to formally authenticate his appointment.
In his remarks, the senior police officer expressed delight and honour at being associated with the club, pledging to discharge any responsibilities entrusted to him. He urged members to remain committed to noble causes and to continually distance themselves from any form of lawlessness.
The evening featured award presentations, vibrant fashion displays and goodwill messages. Members and their spouses dazzled in colourful outfits that reflected elegance, confidence and distinctive style, adding glamour to the celebration.
Speaking earlier, the Head of Legal of the club, Barrister Smart Ezekuse, traced the history of the Dignified Articulate Men’s Club to a poolside pact in Benin City in 2014, noting that the group was formally launched in Lekki, Lagos.
In his address, Ambassador Chukwu reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, dedication and progress, assuring members of purposeful leadership.
“We will continue to build on the foundation laid by our founders and push forward with clarity, responsibility and love for this family we proudly belong to,” he said.
DIG Mba’s appointment, the leadership noted, marks a significant milestone for the 11-year-old club and is expected to provide renewed momentum and greater visibility for its activities in the years ahead.
