Facebook has showcased how young Nigerians are increasingly using the platform to solve everyday challenges, from building supportive communities to improving their well-being, discovering new interests and growing as creators. This was demonstrated at the AprokoNation Fiesta 2025, an annual wellness event that draws thousands of young adults across the country.

The event placed some of Nigeria’s most influential digital creators at the centre of Facebook’s activation, highlighting how their content helps young people navigate wellness, learning and community building. Creators including Emanuella Samuel, Gina Ehikodi, Dr. Chinonso Egemba (popularly known as Aproko Doctor) and Elozonam were among the major attractions, engaging young people who rely on their posts for trusted health tips, creative inspiration, cooking guidance, humour and lifestyle insights.

Aproko Doctor, whose health-focused content has built one of Nigeria’s strongest digital wellness communities, used the fiesta to reinforce how young people turn to Facebook for verified, easy-to-understand medical guidance. Food and fitness creator, Gina Ehikodi, also interacted with attendees eager to learn simple nutrition tips and healthy living habits—many of which she shares daily with her Facebook audience. Her sessions underscored how young Nigerians use the platform to adopt practical lifestyle changes.

Comedian Emanuella Samuel brought humour and relatability that have made her a household name, drawing fans that use Facebook for laughter, stress relief and light-hearted content. Lifestyle creator Elozonam connected with fans exploring creativity, storytelling and self-expression, reinforcing the platform’s role in helping young Nigerians build confidence and discover new interests.

Head of Communications, Sub-Saharan Africa at Meta, Oluwasola Obagbemi, said the company’s presence at the fiesta was meant to show how Facebook continues to meet the needs of young adults.

Obagbemi said: “Facebook is a leading place for conversations about cultural moments around the world, and more young adults in Nigeria are discovering that it is a useful place to spend their time.”

The Facebook Wellness Booth, hosted by creator and media personality Eni Adeoluwa, further demonstrated how young Nigerians use the platform to address personal needs. Through creator conversations, social games and the Reels Booth, attendees engaged with tools that help them relax, learn and explore creative expression.

Adeoluwa said the experience reflected how Facebook supports genuine connection.

He said: “Hosting the Facebook wellness booth at AprokoNation Fiesta was truly exciting. Facebook has helped me build meaningful connections with my audience. It was great engaging with young adults and creators, learning how they use Facebook to discover new interests and deepen their connections. It’s a platform where anyone can connect with the world beyond their close friends.”
