Nigerian digital creator, Belove Olocha, has been crowned TikTok’s Entertainment Creator of the Year, emerging as one of Africa’s most influential voices in the fast-growing creator economy.
The award was announced at TikTok’s annual celebration held in Johannesburg, witnessed by thousands of attendees and followed by millions of viewers online. The category, regarded as one of the most competitive on the continent, spotlights creators shaping conversations and pushing Africa’s entertainment culture to global audiences.
Olocha, known for her sharp, humorous and culturally grounded commentary, has built a strong following through her movie reviews, pop culture analysis, entertainment news updates and reality TV breakdowns. Her content has become a reference point for audiences seeking smart, relatable and high-impact entertainment storytelling.
Her influence has also attracted partnerships with major brands, including Big Brother Naija, with several of her videos trending across Nigeria and the diaspora. Industry watchers describe her voice as “warm, authoritative and engaging,” making her a preferred collaborator for brands across entertainment, fintech, FMCG, telecommunications and lifestyle sectors.
