The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs has carried out an assessment visit to the Induze Tech Foundation, a nonprofit promoting digital literacy and computer science education for young people across Nigeria. The evaluation exercise took place on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the organisation’s national headquarters in Abuja.

A delegation from the Ministry’s Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS) Department—led by Ani Maryrose Anulika, Udeh Juliana, and Alaba Olugbenga—conducted an extensive review of the organisation’s structure, documents, and ongoing programs. The team examined the Foundation’s digital skills training initiatives, women-focused innovation projects, and community-driven models designed to empower girls and young women through technology.

During the visit, the Ministry officials commended the Foundation for its presence in 20 states and its growing footprint in secondary schools across the country. They praised the organisation’s volunteer-driven workforce and its Girls in Tech clubs, digital literacy campaigns, and broader commitment to ensuring that children—particularly girls—gain access to foundational computer science education.

The PRS team also offered strategic guidance to enhance the Foundation’s reach. They recommended expanding program beneficiaries to include Primary 5 and 6 pupils as well as Junior Secondary School 1 students, emphasizing that early exposure to digital skills is vital for national development. In mixed-gender schools, they urged the organisation to maintain a balanced ratio of boys and girls to promote gender equity in digital empowerment.

Representing Induze Tech Foundation were its Founder, Nwabueze Chilaka; Programs Officer, Dr. Amba Ekure; and Technical Software Lead, Cletus Francis Udoh. They briefed the Ministry on the Foundation’s upcoming initiative, Tech Bridge, aimed at widening state-level operations and scaling digital learning resources through school and community partnerships.

The Ministry encouraged the organization to pursue collaborations and recognition opportunities with international development partners including UNICEF and UNESCO.

Speaking after the review, the PRS delegation expressed satisfaction with the Foundation’s structure, passion, and impact potential. They reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting programs that advance women’s empowerment, child development, and safe digital practices nationwide.

In its response, Induze Tech Foundation expressed gratitude for the Ministry’s visit, describing the engagement as a significant boost to its mission of delivering inclusive technology education and building a generation of digitally empowered Nigerian youth.
