Leaders and members of All Progressive Congress, APC, Aborigines in Ondo State, have identified unity among all stakeholders of the party, as a key factor that would enhance the re- election of President Bola Tinubu at the 2027 Presidential election.
The former Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Togo and the convener of the group, Ambassador Sola Iji, said this in Akure, at the formal inauguration of the local government and wards’ coordinating committees for Tinubu 2027 in Akure South and North local governments.
Iji, notes that unity among stakeholders in the party would make the re-election of the president seem less and enhance block votes during the election.
According to him, ” we need unity among stakeholders of the party in the state. Party leaders and members must pursue unity by all means.
He said “as we go out to ensure maximum mobilisation for President Tinubu’s reelection, we must recognize that unity among the party leaders and members is preliminary condition for enhanced delivery at the polls.
” Hence, this must be pursued by all well- meaning party stakeholders who are desirous of a decent outing for the party at the 2027 general elections.”
He maintained that the Aborigine group with a network of ten coordinating committee members at the wards and five canvassers at the polling units will contribute handsomely to the votes of President Tinubu at the Presidential election.
Also speaking at the event, a party leader in Akure South council area of the state, Dr S. B. Akerele, stressed the need to maintain unity in the party.
Akerele praised members of the group for their long- standing dedication to the cause of the party and prayed for God’s divine rewards in their lives.
