An Apapa Chief Magistrate Court in Lagos has granted bail to a 35-year old man, Prosper Oguchi, who was arraigned for allegedly forcefully having unnatural sexual assault on 11-year-old boy through his anus.   Chief Magistrate Amos Adeyemi granted the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in like sum, directing that the surety should show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

The accused, who is of no fixed address, is facing a one-count charge of unnatural carnal knowledge but pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him before the open court.

Police prosecutor, Cpl. Friday Inedu, told the court that the accused on Dec. 6, 2011 at 4th Ave., ‘E’ Close, House 7, Festac Town, Lagos, lured the boy (names withheld) and sexually assaulted the victim through his anus.

In his words: “Oguchi, forcefully had unnatural sexual assault on the boy through his anus” adding that the offense contravened Section 259 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State, 2011.

The case was adjourned till May 23 for further hearing.
