The Women Aid Empowerment Network Initiatives (WAENI) has congratulated Rachel Kufre Nse on her recent appointment as a member of the North Central Development Team, while expressing readiness to collaborate on programs that uplift women and girls in the region.
In a congratulatory message signed by WAENI CEO, Nwaru Caroline Oluchi, the organisation described Nse’s appointment as “well-deserved,” noting that it reflects her dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to driving meaningful societal change.
WAENI said Nse’s new role presents an opportunity to champion initiatives that directly impact women and the Girl Child, especially in underserved communities.
The organisation outlined areas of possible collaboration, including improved access to maternal and reproductive healthcare, cervical cancer screening, and menstrual hygiene education.
Other priorities include support for education and skills acquisition through scholarships, mentorship, and vocational training, as well as economic empowerment via microfinance and entrepreneurship programs.
WAENI also called for joint advocacy against gender-based violence and early marriage, and stressed the importance of gender-sensitive policy implementation aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“We are eager to explore avenues of collaboration with your office to advance these priorities. Together, we can ensure that women and young girls in the North Central region receive the support they need to thrive and become key contributors to their communities,” Oluchi said.
WAENI is a non-governmental organisation committed to empowering women and the girl-child through health education, economic opportunity, and self-reliance initiatives.
