BENIN CITY – The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Inland Revenue Service (EIRS), Oladele Bankole-Balogun Esq, has extended his congratulations to Governor Monday Okpebholo and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, following their victory at the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
The tribunal upheld their positions as the duly elected Governor and Deputy Governor of the state in the September 21, 2024 Gubernatorial Election.
In a statement personally signed by Bankole-Balogun, which was made available to journalists on Sunday, he described the tribunal’s unanimous judgment as a clear validation of Governor Okpebholo’s victory at the polls and a reaffirmation of the people’s will in selecting their leaders.
He further remarked, “The confirmed victory at the tribunal is a testament to the high level of trust and confidence that the people of Edo have placed in your leadership. This is reflected in your hard work, dedication, strong human relations, genuine empathy, and unwavering commitment to the people of Edo State.”
Bankole-Balogun also called on all Edo citizens, especially those from opposing political divides, to unite and collaborate with Governor Okpebholo in moving the state forward, aiming for greater development and prosperity for all.
