Heads may roll in PDP as Bamanga Tukur takes over

By HENRY UMORU

STRONG  indications  emerged yesterday that the Alhaji Bamanga Tukur-led National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, may sack all the party directors that have been in office for more than eight years.

Sunday Vanguard gathered that the move, which is in consonance with the policy of the Federal government, is part of the promised reformation agenda before the March 24 national convention of the party held, last weekend, at Eagle Square where the present leadership of the party came on board.

A source said that, when sacked, the directors will have to be replaced from the six geo-political zones of the country, just as the governors, leaders and stakeholders of the party from the zones will select and subsequently submit the names of nominees to the NWC in Abuja.

As part of the re-organization move by the party, North east will produce the Director of Organization, while the office of the Director of Administration will go  to Northwest, just as the office of Director of Finance is being moved to Southwest.

The party, according to the source, realigned the various offices to enable the zones determine who shall represent them, while the offices of the directors have been rezoned to the various geo-political zones.
