In a bid to foster strategic investment and economic development in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL) held the second edition of its roundtable series on February 6, 2025, at The Envoy Hotel, Abuja.
The event brought together key leaders from financial institutions to review the successes of the Abuja Business and Investment Summit (ABIS 2024), discuss investment challenges and opportunities, and outline collaborative strategies for sustainable economic growth in 2025.
The Group Managing Director (GMD) of AICL, Her Excellency Amb. Maureen Tamuno, welcomed participants and expressed gratitude for their continued commitment to driving investment in the FCT. She highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation in achieving sustainable development and acknowledged the role of financial institutions in bridging funding gaps and facilitating major investment initiatives.
Amb. Tamuno drew participants’ attention to the ongoing infrastructural development spearheaded by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, noting that improvements to road networks and other projects across Abuja and its six area councils are creating vast opportunities for businesses to thrive.
During the forum, she announced two major investment events for 2025:
Abuja Business & Investment Summit 2025 (ABISummit2025): Scheduled for October 21–25, 2025, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, with the theme “Empowering Sustainable Growth: Unlocking Potential in Emerging Markets.” This summit aims to build on the foundation laid by ABIS 2024, fostering strategic partnerships and driving economic transformation.
Investors Forum in the United Kingdom (June 2025): A platform designed to attract European investors and Nigerians in the diaspora by showcasing investment opportunities in Abuja.
The GMD confirmed the participation of the Honourable Minister of the FCT at both events, reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to investment-led growth and development.
Toyin Sanni, Managing Director of Emerging Africa, Chudi Ugwuada of Abuja Enterprise, and Nduka Uzorkwu, Zonal Representative of United Capital, along with other financial leaders, praised AICL’s visionary leadership and strategic initiatives. They emphasized the importance of collaboration in unlocking Abuja’s investment potential and highlighted the need for innovative financial solutions to bridge funding gaps, drive infrastructure development, and support economic growth.
Several institutions expressed their commitment to partnering with AICL on key projects, including the Diaspora Roundtable and infrastructure financing, reinforcing a shared goal of positioning Abuja as a premier investment hub.
The roundtable concluded with a video presentation showcasing investment opportunities in Abuja and AICL’s dedication to transforming the FCT into a leading investment destination.
AICL remains committed to unlocking investment potential in Abuja in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
