The Group Managing Director of Nedcomoaks Group Dr. Kennedy Okonkwo, has revealed that by delivering value, they are making aspirational living accessible.
Dr. Okonkwo stated this while speaking at the relaunch of Victoria Garden City in Eleko over the weekend.
According to him, “On this journey, we said all we will do and continue to do is make aspirational living accessible. And in making it accessible, it also means making financing accessible. We have partnered with Imperial Mortgage.”
Explaining further, Dr. Okonkwo said, “We don’t want to give people financing that will choke them. So even if you’re unable to meet installment payment plans, you can go to our mortgage partners, Imperial Mortgage Bank, and request a loan through the Family Homes Fund, NMRC, NHF, or MOFI, which is the Ministry of Finance Incorporated. You can also use your pension savings to purchase properties, as many people are doing now.”
Encouraging partners and realtors, Dr. Okonkwo noted, “Proudly, real estate has actually overtaken oil and gas. Real estate is one of the top three contributors to Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), alongside agriculture and food processing. You can see that people are now prioritizing buying houses and feeding their families, and this is because of the work you do. The numbers we are achieving are made possible by your efforts.”
“As an organization, we continue to invest in education by equipping our partners with knowledge about the opportunities and initiatives we have in place to make real estate easily accessible for all Nigerians, both residents and those abroad. The buildings you see here are not just mine; they are yours too,” he added.
The highlight of the relaunch of Victoria Garden City was the unveiling of a fully furnished a three bedroom semi detached, unit by the Group Managing Director of Nedcomoaks Group, Dr. Kennedy Okonkwo, alongside Popular socialite, Pascal Okechukwu Cubana Chief Priest, representatives from Capital Gardens, officials of Imperial Mortgage Bank, and realtors.
Speaking at the event, Chimeze Nwabugo, a member of the Nedcomoaks Group sales team and developers of Capital Gardens and Capital Loft, said: “The project started on November 11, 2024. Today, being January 25, 2025, we are launching the sample house.
“The sample unit allows customers and potential buyers to see what we are offering. It is fully furnished and solar-powered, giving them a feel of the lifestyle and experience they’ll be buying into. The estate is solar-powered.”
“A significant part of our construction goal is to create a sustainable environment. Not just homes, but an experience that gives back to the environment. We’re reducing reliance on generators fueled by diesel or petrol to lower carbon emissions. This is our way of contributing to society.”
“For the first phase, we plan to develop and deliver over 400 units. The beauty of this project is that we offer two products: land and houses, depending on what buyers want. The goal is to create a sustainable community. For instance, tech professionals and businesspeople working from home will have access to a tech hub where they can hold meetings and collaborate.”
“The estate will feature an artificial lake, a football pitch, a lawn tennis court, a swimming pool, a mini-golf course, and more. We’ve already completed infrastructure like drainage systems and roads. Tree planting has also begun. We are focused on providing an experience that residents will enjoy,” he concluded.
