The Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial district, Ondo State, Jide ipinsagba, has been accused of non-performance and wasting 20 months in the national assembly.
Youths in the senatorial districts, in an open letter to the senator, said that ” time is ticking against you. Step up or step aside.
Their spokesperson, Ife Ajibuwa, lamented that the lawmaker has nothing to point at as his achievements in the last 20 months as their representative at the National Assembly.
Ajibuwa said that ” it is imperative to have an honest conversation about the critical gaps that remain in your leadership, particularly in the area of human empowerment.
” You have been in office for over 20 months, nearly half of your tenure, yet there is little to show in terms of youth development, skill acquisition, or job creation.
“For a region like Ondo North, where unemployment is rampant and many small businesses struggle to survive, human empowerment is not just an expectation, it is a necessity.
But, responding, Senator lpinsagba, said that he has made “monumental achievements within the last one and a half years to improve the lives of our people and foster sustainable development in Ondo North.
Ipinsagba listed some of his achievements to include empowering farmers, distribution of fertilizer to farmers, construction of health centre amongst others.
He described the allegation of no performance as untrue.
