Singer Waje has defended her age and pictures she posted online against an X user who left an unpleasant comment.

Real name, Aituaje Iruobe, who is also an actress, and keeps a low profile got the uncomplimentary remark when she shared harmless photos to mark the Christmas celebration.

In the post she called on her followers to mark their celebration by watching a movie titled ‘Christmas in Lagos’ where she played a role in.

While others complimented her beauty and promised to do her bidding, a particular user thought differently. He attempted to shame her by commenting on her age and physical looks.

The user @Aceproducer1 wrote “Upon makeup…you still look old”

Waje, however, defended her age, writing,  “Aging  is a blessing, hopefully you’ll experience it in your lifetime. Merry Christmas child.”

At 44, Waje is one of the leading female figures in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
