Urum Kalu Eke, the immediate past Group Managing Director of FBN Holdings Plc, fondly called UK Eke, celebrated his 60th birthday in Lagos with a memorable book launch.

The event, held in Ikoyi, brought together family, friends, and well-wishers who praised his impactful life and career. 

The celebration, described as a twin event, marked Eke’s milestone birthday and the launch of his book, IMPACT – A Life of Urum Kalu Eke. The book captures his journey over six decades, highlighting his personal growth, professional achievements, community service, and faith. 

Chief reviewer Mr. Olufemi Awoyemi commended the book’s depth, describing it as an inspiring account of a man who has left a significant mark in Nigeria’s financial services industry. “The book’s title captures the essence of UK Eke’s professionalism, resilience, and the impact he has made in various spheres,” Awoyemi said. 

The grand occasion was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Olumide Akpata, former Edo State gubernatorial candidate; Mr. Ernest Ebi, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria; Prof. Emeritus Anya O. The evening was filled with heartfelt tributes, making it a fitting celebration of a life dedicated to excellence and service.
