BENIN CITY – AN Edo state advocacy group, Edo People Advocacy Organisation has called on the governor of the state, Sen. Monday Okpebholo to ensure a holistic approach to the land disputes in Oke-Oroma and environs calling for due diligence to ensure equity for all just as it condemned the upsurge in the unrelenting cult-related killings in the state and urged him to sustain the fight against cultists in the state.

The group also commended the governor for initiating the first fly-over in the state which it said would solve the challenge of traffic in the areas the governor said the flyovers would be built.

Addressing a press conference in Benin City, the Coordinator of the group Comrade Emmanuel Agbogun said the governor has hit the ground running and urged him to ensure that his policies and programs were people-oriented.

He said “Obaseki’s forceful acquisition of lands that cut across the Iyanomo community Urhonigbe community Uhi community and other communities across the state with one form of crisis or the other must be addressed.

“We want to commend and congratulate our people-centred Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo for flagging up the first Edo flyover in Ramat Park to ease traffic congestion and for taking a decisive policy in the banning of ticketing and unions in our markets and motor parks and we advise that the moves be managed in line with our extant laws in the best interest of citizens and the state at large.
