The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Katsina State has deployed 1,422 new corps members across 25 of the 34 local government areas, despite ongoing security challenges in the state.

Due to safety concerns, 10 local governments – including Kankara, Batsari, Danmusa, Matazu, Safana, Kurfi, Faskari, Dandume, and Sabuwa – were excluded from deployment.

However, some corps members were deployed to the headquarters of other local governments affected by banditry, such as Dutsinma, Malumfashi, Bakori, Funtua, and Jibia.

During the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch B Stream 2 orientation course, Katsina State NYSC Coordinator Alhaji Ibrahim Saidu urged corps members to adhere to security guidelines outlined in a provided pamphlet .

He emphasized the importance of vigilance and reporting suspicious activities to security agencies.
