Bauchi- A member representing Bauchi Central Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Alhaji Yakubu Mohammed on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been dragged before a chief magistrate’s court in the state over alleged forgery of his primary school certificate.

The plaintiff, Alhaji Ibrahim Angale, was a member of the Assembly who represented the same constituency on the platform of Congress for Progressive Change, CPC.

He was sacked by the Court of Appeal for also allegedly presenting a forged primary school certificate in the said election. The court then declared Yakubu Mohammed as winner of the Assembly election held on April 28, 2011.
The election petitions tribunal had earlier nullified Abdulkarim Angale’s election, saying he violated the Electoral Act 2010, as amended.
