Dennis Hope Yasso, popularly known as “DeeYasso,” has emerged as a formidable force in the global music industry, showcasing a journey that is as inspirational as it is impressive. Born in Taraba State, Nigeria, DeeYasso’s foray into music began in the most humble of settings—a church choir. It was here in 1999 that he first played the drums, a moment that sparked a lifelong passion for music.

DeeYasso’s early musical experiences were not confined to the drums. He soon learned to play both the guitar and piano, displaying a natural talent and versatility that would later define his career. His drive to delve deeper into the world of music production led him to start learning the craft in 2006. This pivotal decision marked the beginning of what would become a distinguished career as a music producer.

While nurturing his musical ambitions, DeeYasso also pursued an academic path that saw him study law at the University of Maiduguri from 2010 to 2016. His dedication paid off when he attended the Nigerian Law School in Abuja and was called to the Nigerian Bar Association as a Lawyer and Solicitor of The Federal Republic of Nigeria. This unique combination of legal expertise and musical talent sets DeeYasso apart in the industry.

Over the years, DeeYasso has produced countless timeless hits, working with major artists such as Chikė, SanTan Dave, SautiSol, Nicki Jam, Oxlade, Gyakie, Johnny Drille, Teni, Flavour, Kizz Daniel, Ladipoe, Ric Hassani, Simi, Zoro, Nasboi, and WandeCoal. His contributions to tracks like Chike’s “Running To You” featuring Simi, Ric Hassani’s “Thunder Fire You,” and Oxlade’s “Intoxicated” featuring SanTan Dave have cemented his reputation as a serial hitmaker.

In addition to his production prowess, DeeYasso serves as a mixing and mastering engineer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. His talent and hard work have earned him several prestigious awards, including The Beatz Award for AfroSoul Producer in 2021 and 2022, and Afro R’n’B Producer in 2023.
