 He is the Founder and CEO of 15Wins Ventures, a dynamic Dutch venture builder with a vision to facilitate collaboration among investors to forge a sustainable and inclusive future through pioneering technology-driven ventures.

 Recently he transformed his Koko platform into Heilen, a go-to platform for total healing and narrates in this interview, how technology has bridged the gap between millions of Nigerians who are struggling with complicated health issues with solutions they desperately needed but couldn’t get due to distance and poverty

 You just rebranded your KOKO platform to Heilen, why?

I always like to do something that makes impact and creates value which is what technology is all about. The best use of technology is making it contribute to humanity or solving real life challenges.

Our service offering was too broad and so we started to think how we can make it a lot more specific and let it solve the humanity problem.

So we thought why don’t we turn this amazing technology that we already have to get towards helping people to find these answers. This is where healing comes from.

 Why do you think Heilen will resonate among Africans?

The world is getting sicker. A lot of people are in extreme burn-out, a lot of people miss out on the purpose of life, a lot of people are confused and a lot of people are traumatized.

Most especially the more the world become more modernized there’s a huge gap in family values in perceptions, and a lot of people are depressed and are looking for answers.

And Heilen will be a platform where people can actually have access to healing at their fingertips anywhere in the world.

 What technology did you put in place to ensure people are given the right healing and not introduced into bigger issues than the problems they seek solution for?

Indeed,  healing is a combination of the mind the body the spirit and and I think I’ve been learning a lot actually about spiritual healing the past month which has been a very big eye opener contrary to what a lot of people think.

We ensure that both the experts who bring healing solutions and the people who need the solutions go through rigorous Know Your Customer, KYC processes. That is also how we ensure the best experts are in our platform involve the use of KYC.

We validate the entities; certify they are alive and real people. We also validate where they are from and also the businesses they do and extract assurance they can be held accountable if anything goes wrong.

 You have always supported the growth of tech start-ups. Did you model Heilen as a start-up?

Of course. Like I said technology is better used if it solves humanity problem. That is also the essence of start-ups. Now, for the first time we can connect best healing practices in Africa to an European audience. We can now also bring best practices in Europe, Asia and North America to the African audience; and some of these best practices are things that wouldn’t have been possible in the past because we are really disconnected even though we are one.

 Africa views such healing methods supported by your platform with superstitious disposition. So the idea of a natural healing platform could be attacked viciously. Do you have any shock absorber on this platform ?

Policies could always affect any business and that’s why we, as entrepreneurs or innovators, we always try to lobby and also help stakeholders understand the need for who we are and also for the solutions that we bring to the forefront.

I think Heilen is quite different because it is not replacing traditional medicines or doctors or nurses, we strongly advise that people seek medical attention, we strongly advise that people follow advice with a medical practitioner. Heilen is a place for spiritual healing, is a place to come back and connect with yourself, which actually will be a complementary solution for the traditional medicines.
