MaskQueen DJ Bella, better known as Anuoluwapo Sanni has described her decision to embark on the journey to break the Guinness World Records for the longest live-streamed concert by a DJ, as the most difficult moment in her career.

She said, she embarked on the journey to put her capability to the test.

The seasoned Disc Jockey rounded off her 11 day live-streamed concert marathon in the early hours of Monday, hitting 250 hours at about 0.249.59.58 to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest live-streamed concert by a DJ.

Bella, who has over 15 years of experience behind the turntables started the live-concert marathon challenge from Thursday, April 18, and rounded it off in the early hours of Monday, April 29, at the Festival Conference hotel, Festac , Lagos. While her marathon performances lasted, the Maskqueen was in high spirits, dishing out numbers after numbers and hoping for the best.

In a brief chat with Saturday Entertainment, Bella said she decided to embark on the journey not only to test her capabilities, but also explore new possibilities in her career.

“It was a planned dream to test my capability and how far I can go in this journey. I thank God for the success. It’s been a difficult journey but God is God. This is my most difficult undertaking as a DJ. I want to explore and break new grounds,” DJ Bella echoed.

Sharing her experience, the MaskQueen said, “I experienced some sad moments as well as happy moments. There were some days that things didn’t work out.”

Also, in an Instagram post, the ambitious Disc Jockey thanked all those that made her dream a reality. “I’m reminded that every hour of dedication brings me closer to rewriting history. This journey is not just about time, it’s about passion, perseverance and the pursuit of greatness. Thank you all for your wishes and support,” the MaskQueen wrote on IG.

Meanwhile, her colleagues have since taken to their various social media platforms to congratulate the latest Guinness World record holder. In an Instagram post, DJ Jimmy Jatt wrote, “Bella has broken Guinness World Records for the longest live Streamed concert by a DJ, congratulation.’

Her manager, Emmanuel Eseigbe, described the marathon concert as “a momentous occasion” adding, “we are grateful for the opportunity to showcase her talent to the world.”

He added that they have compiled the reports and video footage of the concert to be submitted to the Guinness World Records office in Tokyo for their review and possible consideration of giving DJ Bella the coveted award.
