Christmas Day bombing: Group lauds Police, Oritsejafor over arrest of alleged mastermind

LAGOS – Centre for Nationalism and Good Governance, CNGG, has commended the police authorities over the arrest of the alleged mastermind of the Christmas Day bombing at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Madalla in Niger State.

Chairman of the group, Mr Udoka Udeogaranya, in a statement, in Lagos, yesterday, said: “This arrest has shown that the security agencies as well as the government are determined in the fight against security threats in our nation. We encourage the Nigeria Police Force to bring all the members and sponsors of this deadly group to book, regardless of their social status.

“We appeal to all well-meaning Nigerians to continue to support and exercise patience with the government of President Goodluck Jonathan, who is working assiduously to make Nigeria a better country, even though his government is merely eight months old.

“We commend Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor for his dogged fight against terrorism, and demand he purges wolves in sheep’s clothing in the midst of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, for the edification of the body,” the group added.
