Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky may have been sounding like a broken drum to so many people for so long but if what happened at the movie premiere of Eniola Ajao’s latest film, Beast of Two Worlds is anything to go by, where she was declared as the Best-dressed female, publicity stunt or not,  she/he indeed is the genuine article as a slay queen in the realm of beauty and style.

Whether we like it or not, the little Ijebu boy from Ogun State who was born Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye is becoming what he wanted to be every day- a woman of style and substance to be noticed, if not to be venerated.

In some of his past posts, he had alluded to his feminine sexuality and at one time declared he is prettier than 75% of Nigerian women. If time truly tells, it appears the crossdresser was right all along.

The male Barbie has proven time and time again he is no joker. When he declared he’s more beautiful than 70% of Nigerian women, some found it not only amusing but also disgusting. At least Eniola Ajao and her team thought so, to think they could pull off naming “her” the best dressed female where the upper echelon of the Nigerian female celebrities abound.

But each day Bobrisky edges closer and closer to his claim. What more could have proven his point than beating the likes of Iyabo Ojo, Toyin Abraham, Dayo Amusa, and a host of other stunning and detectable divas to the prize of the most dressed at an event, stunt or not. The very idea that it is plausible is a cinch in a sort of way.

Hate him or love him, Bobrisky is proving to be the genuine article. He has invested in “her” looks and it is sure paying off.

Of course, many women at the event felt disgusted by the development, with Toyin Abraham and Dayo Amusa coming out publicly in viral videos to lead the charge. Even Femi Adebayo who made the announcement has not been given a time of day but Bobrisky stole the moment and claimed it with candour.

And with his usual air of confidence, Bobrisky has said he merited the ‘Best Dressed Female’ award he won at the premiere. Reacting via his Instagram account, Bobrisky insisted that he won the award fairly.

He boasted that he beat those who claimed to be “real women” to the award.

He wrote, “I love my sisterhood no cap! But e get some haters among them. Una dey claim real women blabla but I won hands down. Who come be the real woman now? Don’t play!

Lest we forget, Eniola Ajao has apologized to the community of women for the development and to Femi Adebayo and even Bobrisky for the ordeal they have been put through as a result of the grand conspiracy for the supposed “public stunt” but it would take a long time to live it down, especially for Bobrisky for this bragging right, knowing the kind of social media fanatic he is.

Meanwhile, it may be hard to address Bobrisky as a ‘he’  even Wikipedia has agreed he is ‘a she’ because they have kept  referring to him as nothing but a ‘she
