NUJ Award: Anoka congratulates Tompolo

The Honourable commissioner of the Ministry of Urban Renewal, Delta State, Engr Micheal Anoka has congratulated High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo.

The national leadership of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, honoured High Chief Tompolo with a Meritorious Award on Internal Security in recognition of his contributions to the prevailing peace in the Niger Delta and the success recorded so far in the war against crude oil theft and pipelines vandalism being spearheaded by him.

Engr Michael Anoka in his congratulatory message stated that the NUJ honour on High Chief Tompolo comes as a testament to his unwavering commitment and significant contributions to combating oil theft and pipeline vandalism in Nigeria.

He noted that the recognition bestowed upon High Chief Tompolo by the NUJ underscores his significant contributions to safeguarding the nation’s crude oil assets and fostering stability in the Niger Delta.

The Honourable Commissioner described High Chief Tompolo as a unifying figure, an advocate for dialogue and peaceful resolutions, stressing that his leadership has played a pivotal role in de-escalating tensions and fostering a conducive environment for development and progress in the Niger Delta and Nigeria in general.

“High Chief Tompolo’s efforts in securing the nation’s crude oil assets have been instrumental in safeguarding Nigeria’s economic lifeline by facilitating efforts aimed at curbing oil theft, pipeline vandalism, and other illicit activities that pose threats to national economy and security”, he said.

Anoka furthermore said that High Chief Tompolo’s proactive approach to community engagement has also earned him widespread respect and admiration.
