Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha will captain the Rescue Mission FC, a team made up of members of his cabinet, in a novelty football match against an array of former Spartans FC, Iwuanyawu Nationale FC and Heartland FC players.

The game which is scheduled to kick off 4.00pm today at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, is part of the ceremonies lined up for the fund raising dinner cum award night being organized by the club.

Senior Special Adviser to the governor, Chinedu Offor confirmed that Governor Okorocha will put on the captain’s band as he leads his commissioners, Special Advisers including the SSA on Sports, Nwankwo Kanu, some permanent secretaries and the head of service, Evans Uwakwe who is also a former international among others, for the encounter.
