Politicians bleed Nigeria to suffocation – Odunewu

By DAYO JOHNSON

AKURE – CHAIRMAN of the Nigeria Media Merit Award, NMMA, Hadj Alade Odunewu, weekend said the political class in the country have bled the country to suffocation.

Odunewu who spoke in Akure during this year’s NMMA, regretted that ”Nigeria is unfortunately not working”, and declared however that Nigeria should be made to work as the world’s seventh most populous country was fast asleep.

According to him “” the political class bleeds the country to suffocation. Approach to security is to say the least shoddy and unserious.

There are no visible sinews of welfare. Greed and avarice pervade the corridors of power. The country must be made to work and work creditably. Too many University graduates are chasing jobs that are just not there.

Arab spring is the by-product of youth unemployment. We do not need a Nigerian version but only honest robust governance not high profile musical chair chicanery can ensure that.”
