Unsettled AC Milan defender, Taye Taiwo could find himself in the Magpies fold as Newcastle are looking to sign the player in the January window.

Taiwo has played only two league games since joining Milan in the summer from Marseille. His agent Fabio Parisi, disclosed that Taiwo has thought about the the option of leaving the Italian giants.

Newcastle are desperate to sign a good left back. They have been operating without a recognised player in that position since Jose Enrique’s departure to Liverpool in the summer.

Coach Alan Pardew prompted by three defeats in the last four games is set to beef up his team in January and Taiwo is one of his main target.

“We are not 100% happy.

“In any case, Taiwo is not somebody that surrenders easily. He doesn’t want to leave Milan. Of course we must make some evaluations, but the main idea is to remain. Offers? Many clubs admire him, just like when Milan signed him for free; I think that these clubs might still be interested”.
