By Gabriel Enogholase
BENIN — SALES Representative of Vanguard Newspapers in Benin, Edo State, Mr. Iyobosa Ojo, and his family narrowed escaped death, yesterday, as about five robbers invaded their family house in the city at the early hours of Wednesday.

Ojo said he noticed strange movements around 2am, adding that before he could find out what was happening, the hoodlums had forced their way into his sitting room.

He said: “They used dangerous weapons to cut the security protectors and asked all of us to lie down and surrender whatever money we had in the house.

“My explanation that I had no money on me annoyed them the more and they gave me serious beating which resulted in a cut in my neck.”

He disclosed that during the operations which lasted for about 25 minutes, telephone handsets belonging to him and his wife, including money and jewellery were removed by the hoodlums.
