General Manager and technical adviser of Plateau United, Bitrus Bewarang has said that his lads will beat Heartland to stay in the league.

Bewarang made this known to Inside Out Premier League after his teams’ 0-1 loss to Crown FC of Oshogbo in Ibadan, stating that the chances of the Jos side to stay in the Premier League is not over having won it’s promotion to elite league on the last day of Pro League last season.

“It is not yet over until the last minute. We will do our best to recall the form displayed against Kwara United. I know Nigerians should have known that I love winning convincingly and not at all cost.

“We still have hopes to stay in the league by us winning our last game against Heartland in Jos. I will repeat our feat in the Pro League where we won our promotion on the last day,” Bewarang said.

Reacting to the game against Crown FC midweek in Ibadan, the veteran coach said, “this is one of the things we have been crying all this while, look at the way they switched the venue for our game. Since we defeated Kwara United 7-0 in Jos, they have been making things very difficult for us.”

Also sparing a comment on Shooting Stars defeat to JUTH FC as torching his team’s chances of staying in the league, the former Super Eagles assistant coach said, “This is the beauty of the game of football. The adage that ‘a drowning man always will want to drag somebody into the waters with him’ actually played out in Jos. This implies that anything can happen this weekend,” Bewarang added.
