National U-23 coach, Austin Eguavoen has called for a more organized and peaceful football house as a guarantee for good results from the various national team.

Eguavoen who was in charge of the Super Eagles in the early stages of the 2012 AFCON qualifiers recalled the circumstances that preceded the team’s 1-0 loss to Guinea in the first leg fixture last year.

Speaking after the Eagles’ eventual failure to qualify for the tournament in Abuja, he narrated what might have caused the defeat in Guinea which marked the beginning of their problem.

“Before the match in Conakry, there was so much confusion. We were initially told the match would not hold because some people were in court and that FIFA had suspended Nigeria. We were here in Nigeria, no training. Nothing was happening,

“Then suddenly, two days to the match we were asked to go to Guinea and play. What kind of result did you expect?” he asked, pointing out that “for as long as confusion continues to thrive and there is no peace in Nigerian football, we will continue to get this type of result.”
