PARIS-SPECIAL Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs and Chairman, Post-Amnesty Committee, Mr. Kingsley Kuku, arrived in Europe, weekend, to seek international partnership for the post-amnesty programme.
He will, today, meet with Jacques de Labroille, France Ambassador-designate to Nigeria; Mr. Andre Parant, Special Adviser (Africa) to French President, Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy and head of the African department at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Stephane Gompertz after a conference by the French Institute of International Relations, IFR.
Kuku is scheduled to move to Brussels, Belgium, for a meeting with European Union members of Parliament at EU Commission, after which he heads to The Netherlands for a meeting with officials of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Vanguard gathered that the Special Adviser will have a session with Dutch members of Parliament (Foreign and Economic Committees) and Nigerians in diaspora while in The Netherlands.
Founder/President of the Hope for Niger Delta Campaign, HNDC, Mr. Sunny Ofehe is also organising a post-amnesty conference in The Netherlands.
Nigeria’s Ambassador to The Netherlands, Dr. Nimota Akanbi, will deliver a lecture on Nigeria-Dutch Bilateral Relations: Impact on the Niger-Delta and Kuku will give official perspective on Success and Challenges of Post Amnesty Programme: Role of International Community at the conference.
