The Nigerian Ambassador to Lebanon, Amb. Oluwole Idowu has called on the Lebanese business community to exploit Nigeria’s transformation agenda to strengthen existing trade relations between Nigeria and Lebanon.

In a statement in Beirut on the occasion of Nigeria’s 51st Independence anniversary, Idowu recalled that the age-long relations between the countries had encouraged stronger economic ties as reflected in the prominence of Lebanese businessmen and industrialists in Nigeria.

He also highlighted the achievements of President Jonathan to include the creation of the Ministry of Information and Technology (ICT), promotion of UN Millennium Development Goals agenda to eradicate poverty as well as reduction of maternal and child mortality.
