Firm ready to showcase its product at trade fair

Food Exhibition and Festivals Nigeria Limited is set to give a facelift to the food and drinks sector at this year’s 25th International Trade Fair in Lagos.

The trade fair, according to the management will be a beehive of activities with a turnout which will mark historic attendance.

Speaking at the pre-exhibition dinner for exhibitors for the food and beverage section of the trade fair, the Executive Director, Mrs. Florence Olumodimu revealed that the aim of this year’s International Trade Fair in Lagos is to change the face of food and beverage exhibition and to build what Nigeria will call its most celebrated specialty food fair.

“We are confident that this year’s trade fair will mark a new beginning upon the face of the food and beverage sector as well as offer an extraordinary marketing, sales and PR platform for businesses of all kinds.

Over the past 24 years, the Lagos International Trade Fair has been hosted but this will definitely make a difference, Mrs. Olumodimu said.

The Executive Director further added that participants in the food and beverage section this year will include; restaurants, fast food outlets, food vendors, confectionery producers/marketers, companies producing food items/ marketers, spice and food enhancement producers/marketers, cooking oil producers/marketers among others.

The 2011 Nigeria food and drinks festival will incorporate the best of cuisine demonstrations, competitions, entertainment, multimedia and amplification techniques to exhibitors and consumers.

Spaces for exhibitors and food vendors have been split into categories like platinum, gold, silver, and standard with reasonable square meters and prices.

“Companies and brand builders are invited to utilize the platform of the food and drinks festival at the Lagos International Trade Fair for special activations such as launches, product sampling, consumer promotions, she concluded.

This year, food Exhibition and Festivals will launch a new innovation: “Nigeria’s biggest food and drinks festival” which is designed as an experiential food marketing property which will feature brands in the food and beverage category during the trade fair.
