Igbo socio-cultural groups  in diaspora have condemned the spate of  bombings in the country, particularly the United Nations building in Abuja. They called on President Goodluck Jonathan to take action against perpetrators of the dastardly act, so that the country can benefit from inflow of foreign investments.

President of Ndi’Igbo in Spain, Chief Ugochukwu Nduwuisi, on arrival to Nigeria yesterday,  expressed shock at the number of lives that have been lost due to the bombings.

He said: “Whether the issue has assumed religious or whatever coloration, it is a clear case of terrorism and the President should quickly nip it in the bud for the safety of Nigerians and to attract foreign investments.”

“This is a plan to weaken the Anambra State executive so that it can abandon the on-going investigation of the embezzlement of PDP funds in the state. This cannot happen because we see this as a ploy to intimidate members of the state executive who are striving to sanitize the party and prepare it for the forthcoming local government election in the state.”

He said members of the party have vowed not to allow themselves to be distracted in the present effort to mobilize the members and make the party regain its prime position in the state.
