As the Super Eagles get set to lock horns with the Barea of Madagascar at Stade Municipal de Mahamasina in Antananarivo today, Bayelsa FC Team Manager Tarila Okorowanta has advised Eagles coach Samson Siasia to select his best arsenal against the all-important match.
The ex-international who was very particular about players that are in form and can give a tremendous result in the end, believes that not all the players selected are fit to play as he urged the Eagles handler to put sentiments aside.
“Siasia should field the best players that are in form in order to get a good result in the end. He should not be sentimental with his selection and should also know what is at stake. Not all the players that went for the mission are in form, “ he said.
“I do not think the Madagascar team will defeat us, what I will advice is that the boys should ensure that their spirit is high and they should realise that Nigerians are solidly behind them. There is no fear playing against Madagascar when we will be parading our professionals players against their wholly home-based players. So they cannot be compared to our team. I think it is almost impossible to have them defeat us. If they defeat us, it will be a shame to the players.
They should not blame anybody. Our hopes are so high especially with the calibre of players we have lined up for the match. I am confident that we will come out victorious in the end,” he said.
