Scribe of the Taekwondo Federation of Nigeria, Chinedu Ezeala-Ogundare has said that the federation’s aim for the All Africa Games is to win medals.

Speaking with Saturday Vanguard Sports from the teams’ camp in Abuja, she said the training of the athletes is on course as planned.

She also said that all that is needed has been provided for by the National Sport Commission.

“We are participating in the Games with the sole aim of not disappointing the country. We will do best because we know it is not a jamboree as the stakes are high. Our target is to win medals at the games bearing in mind our pedigree in the sports in the continent of Africa.

“We are putting finishing torches to our training. Everything has been provided for by the federal government and the athletes are in good shape for the games,” she said.
