AHEAD the 2012 governorship election in Edo State, the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dan Orbih, has declared that the party has not zoned the ticket to any of the senatorial districts.

Meanwhile, four persons, including the former minister of state for works, Engr. Chris Ogienwonyi, Maj.Gen.Charles Airhiavbere (rtd), Barr.Kenneth Imasuagbon, have  indicated their interest to face Governor Adams Oshiomhole in the July 14, 2012 governorship battle.

But Airhiavbere is favoured to pick the ticket due to the fact that he is from Edo South where the party may have resolved to pick its candidate. Besides, his popularity among political leaders, both in the ACN and the PDP, keeps him in good stead.
