Saturday Vanguard gathered that immediately after the arrest of the Police Sergent, Eboma Onyeka and his open confession of being involved in series of armed robbery operations together with the Corporal on the run,  Lagos State Police boss, Yakubu Alkali tried and dismissed them from the force and then directed their immediate arraignment in court with other suspected civilians involved in the operation.

Sources at the Police command headquarters Ikeja said the fleeing Corporal was undergoing an Inspectorate course when the bubble blew open.  It was learnt that the third charge of murder was included after the suspects confessed that they killed a security guard in one of the banks where they operated around Akowonjo last year.

The sources further disclosed that immediately after the suspects made confessional statements to the Police, a team of crack detectives attached to the special anti-robbery squad at the command headquarters led by the officer in charge, one Abba Kyari, a Superintendent, stormed their hideouts at both Shomolu and Alapere where the suspect that supplied the gas cylinder used in blowing up bank vaults during their operations called  Gabriel, was arrested.
