Copa Coca Cola final: Kaduna team was tough – Enugu coach

By Chioma Aniegboka
Coach of Youth Sports Federation Of Nigeria (YSFON), Calistus Ibe who led his Enugu based Angel Academy to the 2011 national finals of the Copa Coca Cola on Wednesday said that their third place match opponents, Kaduna were very tough.

“It was indeed not an easy task for my team  because the pressure was much  and coupled with the biased officiating “
Continuing, the coach said, “although the  referee was  biased , I thank God finally smiled at my team and we later won the battle 4-3”

The coach said it would have been a shameful thing if they had returned to Enugu empty-handed.

“Though I have not lost any tournament before, I am proud of my team The Youth Angel Academy.”  Ibe commended Coca Cola for organizing the competition and recommended that other companies to emulate the beverage company.

“It will encourage most of the street children who don’t  have anything doing to pick up,” Ibe retorted, adding, “if you and I put hands together to support the children it will enable them do more.”
