Kwara gov seeks Assembly’s nod to appoint 10 Special Advisers

ILORIN – Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has asked the State House of Assembly to empower him to appoint 10 Special Advisers into his cabinet to enhance  smooth and effective governance in line with Section 196(i) of the 1999 Constitution.

In a letter to the Speaker,  Ahmed said the request became imperative for the smooth take-off of his administration.

Besides,  Ahmed said the appointment of loyal, committed, capable, honest and reliable individuals with the right experience as Special Advisers will facilitate the smooth and hitch-free governance desirable for effective distribution of dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

He, therefore, enjoined the House to accede to his request.
