LAGOS – The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, yesterday, charged three Lagos-based traders, Titus Aniako, Joseph Orji and Nwokeji Ifeanyi before a Federal High Court, Lagos, on a four-count charge of alleged importation of fake drugs.
The formal arraignment of the accused persons, could not go on, yesterday, as they claimed that they do not understand English Language with which the charge against them was prepared.
Trial judge in the matter, Justice Binta Nyako, had to adjourn the matter till June 21 and directed the prosecution counsel to provide an interpreter, who will interpret the charges to the accused persons.
The accused person were alleged to have imported and stored a fake drug known as Funbact A cream without registration and for the purpose of selling under unsanitary conditions.
