LAGOS-Nigerian Shippers’ Council, NSC, has said that government approved the increase in terminal charges for private terminal operators to enable them meet the clamour for increase in wages for labour engaged at the various ports.
This came as the National President of the National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents, NCMDLCA, Chief Festus Ejiofor, has called on the freight forwarding groups to cooperate with the Council for the Regulation of Fright Forwarding in Nigeria, CRFFN, to enable practitioners get proper training.
Director of Shipping and Commercial Services of NSC, D. Shalhoma, said that the Minister of transport, Alhaji Yusuf Ibrahim, had approved the increment following agreement reached with labour.
