All may not be well with Flying Eagles players over the planned invitational tournament in Korea beginning next week. Information coming from the camp of the newly crowned African champions has it that most of the players are not favorably disposed to attending the Korean invitational tournament.

It was gathered that most of the players were of the opinion that the Nigeria Football Federation and the technical crew needed to give them time to rest and reunite with their families after  several months of being in camp preparing for the just-concluded continental championship.

It was gathered that at least four of the players were nursing injuries and may not be part of the team that would be traveling to Korea for the tournament.

Already, Almeria of Spain striker, Stanley Okoro have already revealed his unavailablity for the tournament as he would be heading back to Spain to rejoin his club for the last phase of the league.

Flying Eagles chief coach, John Obuh said in a post match press conference after the victory over Cameroun that there was not going to be any break as preparations for the world championship would commence immediately.

“We shall not take any break, we will be heading to Korea for the four Nation tournament; this is part of our preparation for the world cup and we have to give it our best” Obuh said.

Conversely, most coaches of World Cup bound teams have given their players one week break before commencing preparation for the tournament.
