ADO-EKITI-The Peoples Democratic Party , PDP, in Ekiti State, has called for more deployment of soldiers to the state during the National Assembly election coming up next Tuesday, saying this would reduce electoral mal- practices during the election.
The party equally dismissed the claim of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, that its members voted for Dr Goodluck Jonathan during the last presidential election in the state.
According to the party, the last presidential election in the state was not too different from those of 2003, 2007 and 2009, when the ‘’PDP won elections convincingly in the State.”
According to the statement by the State Chairman of the party, Chief Bola Olu-Ojo,the party declared that ‘’the situation on ground showed that PDP was in the majority in Ekiti and that has proven by the last Saturday election and it would be further proved on April 26.”
