Presidential poll: Ogboru gives INEC pass mark

Chief Great Ogboru has described the presidential election as peaceful and orderly. Speaking with newsmen on the exercise, he argued that the orderly conduct of the election showed that the people are now conscious of the need to choose their leaders.

“The process as you can see is very peaceful, the people are orderly and I am glad that Deltans are saying we must do it right, and get it right. This is a clear indication that the people genuinely want to decide who their leaders should be.

The era of power rotation among a particular clique in Delta State is over. Nobody should hand pick who to hand over power to, that decision should be the responsibility of the people. So if anybody wants to lead, they should go out there, meet the people, sell their programmes, campaign and leave the people to make their choice in a free, fair and credible process”.

Answering questions on the controversial Asaba airport project, Chief Ogboru said that the amount of work done did not match the huge expense on it. He described the shoddy execution of the project as shameful.
