Botched poll: INEC was unfair to Kano – Gaya

KANO – The Senate Deputy Minority whip, Ibrahim Kabiru Gaya has described the postponement of the parliamentary election on Saturday as unfair to Kano people

Gaya, a former of Governor of Kano state dismissed INEC explanation as ‘trivial’ against the backdrop of the cooperation and goodwill the electoral body enjoyed enabling it organize a free and fair election.

The Principal Officer of the Nigerian Senate declared that the process was on and kicking in all the 44 local councils of the state when Jega led INEC announced the postponement.

Gay hinted likely plan by the two chambers of the National Assembly to appear before it on Monday to explain why it exposed the country to national embarrassment.

He doubt the possibility of a credible and meaningful election on Monday as been proposed.
