The Action Congress of Nigeria in Ogun State has accused the Governorship candidate of the People’s Party of Nigeria (PPN), Mr. Gboyega Isiaka of using unlawful means to cajole civil servants in the state to vote for him in the forthcoming polls.

According to the party in a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Sola Lawal, Isiaka, who is enjoying the support of Governor Gbenga Daniel has been sending personal letters to all civil servants in the state to ask for their votes.

The party said Isiaka had in letters dated March 29 solicited their votes, adding that the action is undemocratic and deserves outright condemnation and intervention by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

“The PPN is being funded by tax-payers money and as if this is not enough , the governor is robbing this insult in by using force to compel the civil servants to vote for the party.

“This is a slap on the people of Ogun state and we should not watch this uncivilized attitude continue. After engaging all sorts of deceit, they are now afraid of defeat and want to use the usual brutish method they are used to”.
