ILORIN – THE Yoruba Council of Elders, YCE, has waded into the political rift between the political leader of Kwara State, Dr. Olusola Saraki and his son, Governor Bukola Saraki.
The YCE chairman in Kwara State, Senator Suleiman Salawu, said this in a statement he issued in Ilorin, yesterday.
He said “it is a taboo for anyone or group of people to incite or support a son against his father”, stressing that “Islam, Christianity and even traditional religion forbids it.”
“It must be noted that while Governor Bukola Saraki is one of the biological children of Dr. Olusola Saraki, Baba has been able to produce millions of political children and disciplies who are battle ready to defend and honour Baba till his last days”, added the statement.
