UGHELLI – DELTA Central Senatorial candidate of the Democratic People’s Party, DPP, Chief Pius Ewherido, has vowed to sponsor legislation that would revamp the ailing Delta Steel Company, DSC, Ovwian-Aladja,
Ewherido, who addressed the Ovwian community and the people of Eku, weekend, said he has the requisite experience in legislative business, having served in the state House of Assembly for eight years as a legislator.
He said his dream was to revamp the DSC to create job opportunities for the people of the state, adding that the company needed to be revitalized to achieve the purpose for which it was established.
Ewherido who also spoke at Agbarho and Okpara-Inland, said his aspiration was based on his genuine desire to give quality representation to the Urhobo nation at the Senate. At Okpara-Inland, where he visited Dr P. Obakponovwe, he appealed to the Urhobo leaders to give him the needed support to get to the Senate.
Soliciting for the people’s mandate, he reiterated that he has the pedigree to better reposition the Urhobo nation, politically. He expressed hope that the governorship candidate of the DPP, Chief Great Ogboru will reclaim the mandate Deltans gave him in the January 6, rerun election at the tribunal.
