LAGOS – Homicide detectives at the state Criminal Investigations Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, yesterday, arrested a middle aged woman, who allegedly killed her younger brother.
The suspect, identified as Queen Eneguwe, was said to have stabbed her brother, Thankgod Eneguwe, to death during a fight. Vanguard gathered that trouble started at their 24, Bankole Street, Idi-Oro, residence, when 18-year-old Thankgod and his sister Nnenna engaged themselves in a fight over a yet to be disclosed issue.
Meanwhile, neighbours at their residence told Vanguard that they heard violent noise in the duo’s apartment but could not go in, as they were using dangerous weapons on themselves.
A neighbour who pleaded anonymity said, “we heard violent noise from the Eneguwe apartment around 10:15 pm and when I rushed there to know what was happening, I discovered that Thankgod and Nnenna were fighting.
“I couldn’t stop the fight, so I ran out to alert other neighbours. When I got back to their apartment, I found Thankgod lying in a pool of his blood,” she narrated.
In another development a middle_aged woman Itohan Osayioniove yesterday lost her life when allegedly got drowned at Elegushi Beach. It was gathered that the deceased and some other friends had visited the beach at a Iketa area of Lekki Lagos State, during a picnic, before she got drowned.
Meanwhile the Lagos State Police Command Spokesman Samuel Jinadu, while confirming the report said the police at both the Sate CID and Ilasa police Station have commenced investigations.
