Oshiomhole congratulates NLC president over re-election

Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has congratulated Comrade Abdulwahed Omar over his re-election as the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress at thw recently concluded delegates’ conference.

In a congratulatory message, Oshiomhole, who is also the immediate past president of the NLC, said Omar’s re-election indicated the full confidence of the Nigerian workers. According to Oshiomhole, “you (Omar) have provided quality stewardship, which has helped to sustain the NLC as a fighting organisation of the working people and the masses”.

He said he was I immensely proud of the accomplishments of the Congress in its core mandate of defending workers, as well as in the struggle for social justice, public welfare, good governance and

democracy under Omar’s first tenure.

In his words, “I am convinced that you and the other comrades in the NLC leadership have the required vision, courage and goodwill to prosecute the struggle for genuine. Democracy, social justice and improved welfare for workers and the masses”
